چکیده
Abstract Background The root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita , causes a high damage and yield decrease for many economic plants. need non-systemic effective new approaches environmentally friendly methods controlling the nematodes has directed research to some safe agrochemicals found in medicinal plants as viable management options. Results In laboratory experiments, solidago periwinkle aqueous ethanolic extracts achieved J2 mortality (%) concerning different dilutions; however, were more than extracts. Also, there was direct relationship between nematicidal activity of these with both concentration time application. Inhibition egg hatching by Periwinkle higher that solidago. Moreover, tested against decreased significantly prolonged storage at + 5 °C, while did not stored frozen – °C 12 months. killed non-target organisms, i.e., rotifers free-living nematodes. Seventy-five 90% total phytochemicals recovered from solidago, respectively nematostatic or nematode viability, hatch vitro, development reproduction vivo despite method application (foliar soil drench). antagonistic effects pronounced drench their concentrations Conclusion Solidago plant showed important sources control M. .

Trichoderma harzianum reduces population of Meloidogyne incognita in cucumber plants under greenhouse conditions
Trichoderma harzianum strain ESALQ-1306 was assessed for its potential biological control against Meloidogyne incognita race 4 under in vitro and greenhouse conditions. In vitro, we noticed 64% of conidial attachment on eggs and second-stage juvenile immobilized by the fungus. In greenhouse, cucumber plants were treated with different concentrations of conidial suspensions before and after inoc...
متن کاملIdentification of Nematicidal Constituents of Notopterygium incisum Rhizomes against Bursaphelenchus xylophilus and Meloidogyne incognita.
During a screening program for new agrochemicals from Chinese medicinal herbs, the ethanol extract of Notopterygium incisum rhizomes was found to possess strong nematicidal activity against the two species of nematodes, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus and Meloidogyne incognita. Based on bioactivity-guided fractionation, the four constituents were isolated from the ethanol extract and identified as c...
متن کاملChemical composition and nematicidal activity of essential oil of Agastache rugosa against Meloidogyne incognita.
The aim of this research was to determine the chemical composition and nematicidal activity of essential oil of Agastache rugosa flowering aerial parts against the root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita, and to isolate and identify any nematicidal constituents from the essential oil. The essential oil of A. rugosa aerial parts was obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC-FID and GC-M...
متن کاملIsolation of nematicidal triterpenoid saponins from Pulsatilla koreana root and their activities against Meloidogyne incognita.
Pulsatilla koreana, a species endemic to Korea, is an important herb used in traditional medicine to treat amoebic dysentery and malaria. In the present study, 23 oleanane-type triterpenoid saponins 1-23 and eight lupane-type triterpenoid saponins 24-31 were isolated from the roots of P. koreana. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. The methanol extract and isola...
متن کاملScreening of Thirteen Medicinal Plant Extracts for Antioxidant Activity
Antioxidants are vital substances which possess the ability to protect the body from damage caused by free radical induced oxidative stress. A variety of free radical scavenging antioxidants exist within the body which many of them are derived from dietary sources like fruits, vegetables and teas. In this study the antioxidant activity and radical scavenging activity of methanolic extracts of s...
